Working with Industry
Innovation and knowledge transfer from The ·¬ÇÑapp to industry underpins our international reputation for improving the health and welfare of animals.
Major research findings, such as the identification of a new drug, design of a new medical instrument or clinical trial protocols have significant commercial value.
Even relatively straightforward developments, such as the generation of a new antibody or a disease model may be of high interest to industry. Resources like medical images or samples of biological materials are often of value to commercial partners.
World-class researchers and industry partnerships
We encourage innovation and knowledge transfer by placing emphasis on sustainable working relationships between our world-class researchers and industry partners. The RVC has an excellent track record of collaborations and licence deals with multinational companies and SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises).
The RVC also fosters innovation via the London BioScience Innovation Centre (LBIC), a business incubator which is owned and managed by the RVC. LBIC is central London's premier incubator for life-science companies and is home to over 50 life science companies.
