Applications to this course will be made to the RVC.

The application process for the BVetSci (D105) programme is outlined below. It is each applicant's responsibility to ensure they fully complete the application process, so make sure you read all the information provided carefully. General guidance on applying for veterinary medicine courses can also be found .

Please note that it is not possible to transfer to the BVetSci course from a degree programme partly completed at another university. Applications will not be considered from students currently on a degree programme unless they are in their final year and applying for graduate entry. No exemption is granted from any course component.

UCAS

All students, apart from students from US/Canadian colleges (see below) must apply for the BVetSci course via online. The course code for the programme is D105 and the institution code for the ·¬ÇÑapp is R84. You may list a total of five courses on the UCAS application form, but only four can be for veterinary medicine programmes (D105, D100, D101 and D102).

Deadline: 15 October for 2025 entry. International and EU students may find the information on the UCAS website helpful. Applications are welcome from applicants who wish to defer entry until after a gap year.

Please note: All UK interviews for this course will be held in December. Our interviews are held in person. If invited, it is often not possible to rearrange an interview for a different date, so applicants must ensure they are available for interview before applying and inform us by email of any specific days within this time period when they are unavailable.

Work experience: Applicant Supplementary Form

All applicants are required to submit a supplementary form as a part of the application process. This form will be available from Friday 18 October to Wednesday 23 October 2024. You will be emailed with the link to the form on Friday 18 October (we cannot confirm the time, but it will be by 5pm BST) and will need to have submitted it by 23:59 (BST) on Wednesday 23 October. If you do not complete the form within this window your application will be made unsuccessful.

We recommend that you make some form of reminder to check your emails and complete the form during this time. If you have not received the email containing the form by 5pm on Friday 18th you must get in contact with us on aberbvsc@rvc.ac.uk. Please ensure that you allow sufficient time to complete the form and do not leave it until the last minute. Forgetting about the form and/or last-minute issues will not be accepted as a valid reason for missing the deadline. Please note that the Supplementary Form for the BVSc course is a different form to that required for the RVC’s BVetMed course.

The RVC uses email as the primary method for contacting applicants about their application and applicants are strongly encouraged to take the necessary steps to ensure emails from aberbvsc@rvc.ac.uk do not end up in spam or junk inboxes, as the RVC cannot accept responsibility for any applications that are unsuccessful as a result of missed information or deadlines.

Repeat applications

In view of the large number and high quality of new candidates coming forward each year, we are normally unable to consider more than one repeat application. If you decide to reapply to the RVC, this will be treated as a new application and will be reviewed independently, without consideration of your first application. As a result, you will need to re-submit any supporting information, irrespective of whether it was previously provided or not. Applicants who re-sit their A Levels and re-apply are required to have achieved at least grades BBC including a grade B in Biology at first sit. Applicants re-sitting other qualifications should contact the Admissions Office for information about minimum grades required at first sit.

North American students

North American students (both High School and Graduates) may only apply to the five-year BVetSci programme (D105) via as above.

Interviews for North American applicants will be held in November/December. Our interviews will be held in person. Please ensure you have informed us of any dates you will be unavailable well in advance.
