Meet Mylo: blood donor and marathon runner
app Maria is running the London Marathon for pets like me, and Iappm supporting her training.
appI love running and I love the Animal Care Trust. Lucky for me, Maria decided to combine both and not only do I donate blood to save pets that are really sick, but I also get to support her training for this yearapps London Marathon. She definitely has the hardest task.
appI really enjoy giving blood, the team are so kind to me, I know Iappm helping other poorly animals and I always get a treat at the end! Maria has to run 26.2 miles with only two legs; Iappm lucky because
I have four legs and am much faster than my human!
appRunning is so much fun. Iappve been trained really well and I know how to run slightly ahead so that she doesnappt slow me down or get in my way. As soon as my running harness goes on, I know itapps time and I get really excited. Like Maria, I take on extra carbs and liquid before I run and we have a good feed and rest when we get home.
appMaria always runs her fastest times when Iappm around, so itapps a shame I canappt be on the start line with her, but Iappll be barking at the television and ready with a big sloppy kiss and some muddy paw prints when she gets back.
appMaria has raised just over £1,000 for the ACT by taking on the London Marathon and I know she can raise more! Iappve challenged her to reach £1,500
by the finish line...well, it has to be a challenge doesnappt it?!app
