Throughout the 2017-2018 academic year the society has been raising money for Rainforest Trust UK to help save and protect the world番茄app檚 rainforests and the endangered species within them. They did this through a range of fundraisers including pub quizzes, Valentine番茄app檚 Day cookie sales and the Hawkshead Hobble.
All the money raised will be quadrupled (for every
拢1 donated the Rainforest Trust番茄app檚 SAVES Challenge matches it with an additional 拢3) and used as part
of The Rainforest Trust Rungan River Peat Swamp Forest project in Borneo, as chosen by RVC ZooSoc members. This forest is home to 4% of the world番茄app檚 remaining critically endangered Bornean Orangutans.
RVC ZooSoc would like to thank everyone involved in helping raise money for this very important cause!

ZooSoc committee meeting with Rainforest Trust UK Executive Director Chris Redston and Communications Director Adela Pickles at our Camden Campus to present them with a cheque for the raised funds.
