rainforest!
By Perri Wiggin, RVCZS President
Throughout the 2017-2018 academic year the society has been raising money for Rainforest Trust UK to help save and protect the world·¬ÇÑapp™s rainforests and the endangered species within them. They did this through a range of fundraisers including pub quizzes, Valentine·¬ÇÑapp™s Day cookie sales and the Hawkshead Hobble.
All the money raised will be quadrupled (for every
£1 donated the Rainforest Trust·¬ÇÑapp™s SAVES Challenge matches it with an additional £3) and used as part
of The Rainforest Trust Rungan River Peat Swamp Forest project in Borneo, as chosen by RVC ZooSoc members. This forest is home to 4% of the world·¬ÇÑapp™s remaining critically endangered Bornean Orangutans.
RVC ZooSoc would like to thank everyone involved in helping raise money for this very important cause!
